
The Eye-Bank honored outgoing CEO & Executive Director Patricia Dahl for her remarkable 45 years of leadership in the eye banking community with a reception at the Wall Street Hotel in Manhattan on April 13th. Board members, surgeons, colleagues from across the world, and friends of The Eye-Bank gathered to celebrate a legacy defined by innovation, dedication and profound impact.

The reception’s speaking program featured remarks from Board Vice President Umber Ahmad, Medical Advisory Board Chair Joann Kang, M.D., Eye Bank Association of America President & CEO Kevin Corcoran, Association Chair Jim Quirk, and European Eye Bank Association President Diego Ponzin M.D. The speakers highlighted Ms. Dahl’s significant contributions to the field of eye banking.

“Patricia Dahl’s ambition, high standards, collaborative spirit, and dedication to the mission of sight restoration helped to shape the profession of eye banking and made The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration synonymous with the values of non-profit eye banking: quality, integrity, innovation, and a commitment to restoring sight to those in need,” said Ms. Ahmad.

The night concluded with words from Ms. Dahl, who acknowledged many of those in attendance for their support, friendship, and collaboration throughout her storied career.

Patricia Dahl helped more than 50,000 New Yorkers receive the gift of sight and countless others have benefited from her visionary leadership.
