The Board of Directors of The Eye-Bank of New York is pleased to announce the appointment of Edwin H. Roberts, MPA as its new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 16, 2026.
Mr. Roberts brings more than 26 years of experience in eye banking with expertise in regulatory compliance, as well as the technical aspects of the profession. An active leader in the donation and transplant community, he serves on the Board of Directors of Donate Life New York State and is a member of the Eye Bank Association of America’s Medical Advisory Board and Accreditation Board, among other committees.
“We are pleased to welcome Edwin Roberts into this new role,” said Dennis Tarzian, Eye-Bank Board President. “His leadership will be instrumental in guiding The Eye-Bank’s continued growth, strengthening operational excellence and advancing our mission.”
Mr. Roberts succeeds former Executive Director and CEO Patricia Dahl, who has retired after 45 years of service.
“I take on this role with gratitude, humility and a strong sense of accountability to our mission,” said Mr. Roberts. “I am thankful for the trust placed in me by The Eye-Bank’s Board of Directors and for the opportunity to help lead the world’s first eye bank into its next chapter.”
