Over the years, tens of thousands of people have restored sight because of the generosity of dedicated and thoughtful people who have made The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration part of their legacies as a greater opportunity for giving. Ever since R. Townley Paton, M.D. founded The Eye-Bank in 1944, The Eye-Bank has been the fortunate recipient of a continuous stream of generous bequests and legacies.
The Paton Legacy Society was formed not only to honor our founder, but to provide The Eye-Bank supporters an opportunity to contribute through their wills and trusts. Monies generated by the Paton Legacy Society will be invested in The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration’s endowment fund. The income is used to make the miracle of sight restoration possible by increasing awareness about the need for eye donation and providing eye tissue for transplants and medical research.
