DISCO NIGHT WAS "OUTTA SIGHT!" On Thursday, May 16, the Bohemian, Benevolent and Literary Association on Manhattan's Upper East Side was livelier than ever for The Eye-Bank's Spring Benefit. DJ Herbert Holler had guests, especially those dressed in disco glam, moving and grooving under the disco ball to popular dance hits from the 70's all while supporting The Eye-Bank.

Co-Chairs Board Secretary Rachel A. Heisler and Richard D. Najac, M.D. of the Medical Advisory Board welcomed everyone to this stellar night. Guests enjoyed Executive Chef Samuel Drake Jones' and the team from Sweetbriar's incredible cuisine and cocktails. Those who saved room for dessert were rewarded with delectable treats from Mah Ze Dahr, supplied by the bakery's owner and Eye-Bank Board Treasurer Umber Ahmad.

The silent auction was a big success with guests eagerly bidding on a variety of items from theatre tickets to golf outings; Major League baseball games to classic horse shows and, in addition, there was exquisite jewelry supplied by Leadership Council Member Ileana Quinones Ruiz's Artisans of IQ and a trendy culinary experience for your friend group at Sweetbriar's in Manhattan, known for upscale comfort food and live-fire cooking. We especially thank this year's Spring Benefit Committee, our corporate sponsors and all the attendees for their generous support that raised more than $104,000 for The Eye-Bank's public and professional education programs.
