On October 30, festivity and generosity filled the halls of the Museum of the City of New York as The Eye-Bank celebrated its Fall Benefit, Venetian Visions. Despite a record-breaking two inches of rainfall earlier in the day, the skies cleared just in time for attendees to come out and enjoy a dazzling evening on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

Event Co-chairs Dr. Joann Kang and Jaclyn Newman welcomed guests who donned festive masks and dressed to impress as they enjoyed Italian-inspired cuisine and signature Bellinis and spritzes, saving just enough room for exquisite desserts from Eye-Bank Board Member Umber Ahmad’s renowned Mah-Ze-Dahr Bakery.

Throughout the night, guests explored an exhibit chronicling the past 100 years of New York City’s history, then browsed the Benefit’s silent auction, which featured some of the city’s most exclusive experiences, including a chef’s table dinner at Café Commerce, tickets to the New York City Ballet, designer sunglasses by Rolf, and jeweled handbags by Artisans of IQ.

It was a joyful evening of celebration and impact — raising more than $95,000 to support The Eye-Bank’s sight-saving programs.
