The spirit of the season was in full swing at the Leadership Council's Holiday Happy Hour on Friday, November 15, at Electric Shuffle.
The shuffleboard tables were buzzing with excitement as members of the Leadership Council and The Eye-Bank community showcased their skills, and the friendly spirit of competition carried over at the silent auction. Winners of the auction walk away with tickets to the Giants and the NYC Football Club, a gourmet dinner at the Italian fine-dining restaurant Il Mulino, East End wine-tasting adventures, stunning jewelry sets from Council member Ileana Quinones Ruiz's Artisans of IQ, and more.
True to the venue's name, the atmosphere was electric as everyone mixed and mingled, sipping espresso martinis and enjoying lite bites. Council Chair Patrick Corbett and new member Andrew Nordquist highlighted the impact of The Eye-Bank's mission and the community's vital role as financial supporters.
The night concluded with Tomer Maimran taking home the “gold” medal with the highest shuffle board score.
Everyone was a winner, including The Eye-Bank's sight-saving programs, as an incredible $68,000 was raised!
It was a joyful and impactful start to the holiday season, proving once again the importance of community and generosity.
