The Trip to Bountiful

On April 17, 2013 Board members, supporters and friends of The Eye-Bank enjoyed a lovely evening seeing the Broadway show "The Trip to Bountiful" followed by dessert and a meet-and-greet with cast member Vanessa Williams. Vanessa is featured with her brother Chris Williams in our ad campaign and together they encourage others to enroll in the Donate Life Registry by sharing how their father passed away and left the beautiful gift of sight to one New Yorker.

10th Annual A Live Auction and Wine Tasting

On April 9, 2013 over 200 attendees filled the ballroom at the Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association for The Eye-Bank’s 10th annual A Live Auction and Wine Tasting. The air was buzzing with excitement as guests noshed on Mediterranean inspired fare and sampled a delightful array on wines, and a new addition, Canton liquer.

Sing for Sight 2012

Over 200 guests rocked out to the vocals of Julie Weyne and Diane Luntz at the fourth Sing for Sight Night on September 21st at the Canal Room. Julie and Diane thrilled the crowd with covers of popular music, including love songs by Adele and classic rock.

3rd Annual Swing for Sight Golf Outing

The Eye-Bank hosted another successful Swing for Sight golf outing at the Tuxedo Club on September 27, 2012. Seventeen foursomes teed off and the competition for our team prizes (Low Gross and Low Net) was fierce! At the end of a challenging 18 holes, two teams prevailed to take home first place honors.

9th Annual Live Auction and Wine Tasting

Attendees of The Eye-Bank’s 9th annual A Live Auction and Wine Tasting, held on April 3, 2012 at the Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association were treated to an event that tantalized the senses! Strolling musicians happily played requests while a diverse array of wine purveyors, and new this year one whisky, was offered for tasting. Our supporters also were treated to a culinary presentation that included seafood paella, flank steak enchiladas and other delectable morsels.

Friends for Sight Night

On October 26th, 2011 the Junior Council hosted its first fundraiser, Friends for Sight Night at the Salmagundi Club. The Lower Gallery of the Club was alive with the hum of conversation, clicking of billiard balls and peals of laughter as old friends and new spent a relaxing evening learning more about The Eye-Bank’s sight-restoring mission.
